Matrix ‘NTM’ Project Passes Inspection, Secures “OP”

The Hong Kong transitional housing project in Ngau Tam Mei, “Xintian Bungalow,” located on San Tam Road and constructed by Matrix Living, has completed its inspection process and successfully obtained the “OP.” Some of the units have already begun to welcome residents.

Last year, Hong Kong’s government issued the “North Metropolis Action Outline,” restructuring the North Metropolis into four zones. It predicts the area will form over 5-10 years and fully develop within 20.

The “Innovation and Technology Belt” near Lok Ma Chau includes the active New Territories Technology City and Ngau Tam Mei. Plans aim for a livable Ngau Tam Mei residential area and tech-supportive medical and educational facilities, bolstering the city’s long-term growth.

The Ngau Tam Mei Transitional Housing Project in the “Innovation and Technology District” uses steel-structured MiC tech, with a site area of 233,917 sq ft. It features four four-story buildings, totaling 322,969 sq ft and 1,080 units. Unit sizes are 179, 262, and 358 sq ft, accommodating about 2,700 people.
